The Emdom/MM Battle Suspenders are a design collaboration between Emdom USA and MM from www.militarymorons.com. It is designed as a unique, innovative, low profile, and very comfortable set of suspenders designed to work in conjunction with our Emdom/MM CM Belt. The Battle Suspenders are versatile enough to work with nearly all pistol/combat/war belts. The undersides of the 2" wide shoulder pads are lined with Dri-Lex for low profile padding and for its moisture wicking properties. Being thin and compact they can be worn comfortably by themselves or under an armor carrier. The Battle Suspenders are traditionally straight on the front then cross at the back for more stability and preventing the shoulder straps from slipping off the shoulders. To further prevent any chances of the straps slipping off the shoulders; there is a sternum and back strap to keep the shoulder straps together. Both of these straps are detachable and adjustable. The attachment system utilizes 1" webbing with low profile, color matched, ITW 1" rounded oval slides. This simple and secure system allows the suspenders to be mounted to nearly all belt systems. The Battle Suspenders do not have any elastic or stretching components therefore weight is better distributed between the hips and shoulders. This design also prevents sagging, bouncing, and shifting of load weight.

KEY FEATURES & DESIGN HIGHLIGHTS

Attachment:
Each of the four attachment straps are made of 1" webbing. Each strap has two color matched ITW 1" rounded oval slides and one Velcro keeper loop. The attachment straps can be wrapped around the circumference of a belt or through provided D-rings or PALS webbing. The four Velcro keeper loops are for utilization with our Emdom/MM CM Belt or other loop Velcro lined belts. These loops allow the attachment straps to pass through and will keep the straps from sliding along the belt.

All metal hardware:
Thirteen color matched ITW 1" rounded oval slides and two metal snaps are used throughout the Battle Suspenders. These metal sliders are much thinner and stronger than plastic hardware. They also have a better grip on the 1" webbing, preventing any slipping.

Low profile, padded shoulder pads:
The undersides of the 2" wide shoulder pads are lined with Dri-Lex for low profile padding, breathability, and comfort. The Dri-Lex also prevents the pads from slipping off slick fabrics. Each strap is a continuous piece of webbing, sewn to the shoulder pads with bartacks every 1.5". These webbing loops can be used to adjust the position of the sternum and upper back strap. The loops can also be used for attaching other gear like the Emdom H2O Hydration Carrier or hardware for routing a hydration tube.

Fixed X configuration:
The rear portion of the suspenders, cross in the back. This position is fixed with a non-reflective black rivet and plated washer. This allows the angle between the straps to be adjusted but not slide from each other. The fixed X results in a more stable harness and reduces the chances of the shoulder pads slipping off the shoulders.

Adjustable/detachable straps:
Sternum and upper back strap keep the shoulder straps from slipping off the shoulders. Both straps attach to the 1" webbing loops on the shoulder pads and can be moved anywhere up or down the slots. Both straps can be completely removed. Both straps feature ITW 1" rounded oval slides. The sternum strap features a snap for the lowest profile connection and facilitating quick and easy donning and doffing.

Adjustment:
The Battle Suspenders are meant to be pre-adjusted then worn. The suspender ends are attached to a belt and secured with the lower metal sliders as well as the Velcro keeper loops if applicable. The length of each strap is adjusted to support the belt equally. The excess webbing can be routed through the upper metal sliders. The sternum and upper back strap are adjusted up or down to preference.

Sizing:
The Battle Suspenders are generous in length and are highly adjustable. These sizing recommendations are a guide. Use a tape measure and measure the exact intended setup. Allow 1.5" at each end for securing the ends through the metal sliders. If in doubt or between sizes it is recommended to go with the L/XL size.

  • S/M: Front and back 1" webbing straps are 24" long (from shoulder pad to end of strap) and the shoulder pads are each 18” long. Fits up to 5’8” in height with a standard riggers belt. If to be wrapped around MOLLE/war/combat belt instead of attaching to D-rings or PALS webbing: L/XL is recommended. Excess webbing can be cut or routed through metal sliders.

  • L/XL: Front and back 1" webbing straps are 32" long (from shoulder pad to end of strap) and the shoulder pads are 21" long, each. Fits 5’8” and up in height. Straps are supplied extra long so any excess can be cut or routed several times through the metal sliders. This size should accommodate most people with any type of belt system.

I purchased these as a concealable set of suspenders to go under our recently issued outer vests. Load bearing vests weren't an option with our current administration. These suspenders do what a load bearing vest would ideally do and pull the weight off the hips. I wasn't satisfied with the "law enforcement" suspenders I kept finding on the internet. After searching for military suspenders, I came across this product and noticed they appeared to be trusted by a significant number of military personnel and were reported to be very durable . These do not have big bulky swivels or connections and eliminate hot spots. Since wearing these, the relief in the hip, leg and lower back department was immediately noticed. I wish I had these 20 years ago!  The shoulder pads are pretty low profile and allow you to wear these comfortably under a shirt or vest. These are of great quality, they are comfortable and I highly recommend them!

Carrying gear on your person is unnatural. Evenly redistributing weight from your hips to your shoulders makes a huge difference when having to ruck all day. It’s still gonna suck, but with these, it sucks a lot less.

Far and away the best suspenders on the market. There are a few companies making leather suspenders that come close, but due to being leather they are not up to the tasks that these ones are. I purchased for use with both a battle belt as well as with a construction work belt setup made from a battle belt also. Excellent for both use cases.  They distribute weight well, breath well and do not get in the way. Unless you're carrying around 50+lbs of stuff on a belt, you don't need bulky padding that doesn't breath, so these fit the bill perfectly. Also, until you try a pair of suspenders that do not have elastic, you don't know how much better they are. Having the sternum and back strap to keep them on your shoulders means never feeling like they are falling off, and not having elastic means not having them be constantly tight even when not holding up weight or sagging when they are.

Excellent piece of kit. Used in conjunction with Crye Ballistic Blast Belt. Super ergonomic, very comfortable and durable, even on extended duty. The best option for the money, hands down.
